FIRE SAFETY NEWS FOR MONTH:

Ellicott Creek firefighters Ryan MacDougall and Russ Stith rescued a resident of the Peppertree Heights apartment complex early on the morning of May 13. The call came in as a routine fire alarm but turned out to be a $35,000 fire.

NEW FEATURE - The Amherst Bee will publish a chart once a month breaking down the number of fire and emergency calls handled by the 10 volunteer fire companies in the Town, as supplied by the Amherst Central Fire Alarm Office. This chart will also feature news of unique incidents or fire prevention tips.
