Man grabs money from woman outside ATM

Amherst police have reported that a man struck a woman as she left an ATM in the Getzville Plaza on Millersport Highway, then ran off with at least $20 she had just withdrawn.

The robbery was reported at noon June 14. The suspect is described as a white male, 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighing 165 pounds, with short brown hair and wearing a white T-shirt and black, shiny sweat pants.

He reportedly bumped into the woman as she was sorting her money; he then struck her forearm, taking the cash.

He then ran in the direction of the Robin Road apartments.
