Motorists to watch for Roswell riders Riders and volunteers from the Ride for Roswell, presented by Wegmans and the faculty and staff of Roswell Park Cancer Institute, would like to thank the residents of Amherst in advance for being patient and driving safely as more than 4,000 event participants ride through their neighborhoods during the morning and early afternoon of Saturday, June 23. To ensure the safety of each of the Ride's participants, drivers are asked to use caution when pulling out of their driveways and when passing groups of cyclists. Also, as a reminder, no parking will be permitted in bike lanes on the day of the Ride. Many thanks to the Amherst, Police Department as well as New York State troopers, the Erie County Sheriff's Office and all the volunteer fire companies for their support in making the Ride for Roswell safe for everyone. Consider riding, cheering on riders, or donating to this community wide effort to benefit lifesaving cancer research and patient care at Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
