      Kathryn Przybyla, a student at Sacred Heart Academy, has been selected as a Claes Nobel Academic Scholarship Semifinalist by the National Society of High School Scholars. She was selected from among 11,000 applicants based on excellence in academics, leadership and service activities.

Amherst Community Education to hold technology courses
      Amherst Community Education will hold a selection of technology courses open to all district and out of district students entering grades 6-12. Rob Zdrojewski, a technology teacher and director of Tech TV at Amherst Middle School, will teach the class.

      Kathleen Morris of Amherst and Paul Zackey of Snyder were named to the dean's list for the spring 2007 semester at Clarkson University. Scott Puccio of Snyder has received his master's degree from York University in Toronto. He is a 1995 graduate of Amherst Central High School.
