UNDEFEATED
The St. Benedict's Mite team 'A' (first- and second-graders) finished their soccer season 6-0-1 with an exciting 5-3 win over St. Greg's on June 3. Conor Flynn scored the most goals on the team, followed by Willy Lawley and Connor Parish. Also scoring this year were Chris Wittmann, Mike Dispenza, Liza Florczak and Will Grisko. Nick MacDonald, Matthew Klute, Jennifer Smith and Grace Flynn were the leading assist makers. The defense played huge, led by center defenseman Parrish, who often turned the defense to offense in one quick play. The rest of the defense was anchored by the unselfish play of Anna Grisko, Fred Vinal, Stephanie O'Brien and Cassidy Klaybor. Grisko consistently made great saves in net throughout the year.
