MEET THE CANDIDATES
Jeffrey Kingsley Trustee
Harmony Party

Kingsley
I am a graduate of Williamsville South High School, Hamilton College and the University at Buffalo Law School. I am a commercial litigator with extensive experience dealing with municipal entities including the State of New York. I believe my legal background will allow me to serve the village by providing the board with a practical, commonsense approach to government.

During the last four years, I applied this same practical approach to my community service activities at the Bennett High School Law Magnet Program. During that time, I assisted in bringing together the business and educational communities to build a mentorship program, which continues to benefit the school. As a result, I was honored with a 2007 Pathfinder Award from Business First, the Buffalo Alliance of Education and the Niagara Frontier Industry Education Council.

As village trustee, my goal is simple: to make village government open, efficient and accountable to the people I serve. Specifically, I will implement a proactive village approach to restore the historic Mill. Furthermore, I will challenge the Town of Amherst and Erie County to join the village in addressing traffic and safety concerns along Main Street. Finally, I will create the Village Community Response Committee, which will provide valuable information to villagers during a crisis.

As we know, Williamsville offers us a unique quality of life in a historic setting. The only way to preserve this way of life, however, is to progress forward with thoughtful, innovative ideas. Thank you in advance for your consideration.
