When I first moved to Williamsville, I was so taken by the village's historic character, the unique shops and the good-hearted people that I wanted to get involved with village government to help preserve and protect it.
Elected as trustee just two years ago, I was able to accomplish many village projects and pass important legislation that has enhanced the quality of village life.
As liaison to the Glen Park Joint Board, I coordinated the Glen Avenue Bridge reconstruction. I also oversee the restoration and reforestation of Glen Park.
As trustee and local business owner, I continue to look for resourceful cost-cutting. I worked with the Village Department of Public Works to replace outdated equipment with new state-of-the-art multi use equipment, realizing taxpayer savings. Through my efforts, a garden sponsorship program was established to enhance village gardens with corporate and private donations. This program curbs rising costs and improves garden quality.
If I were elected mayor, I would welcome the opportunity to serve my community in an even greater capacity. I will promptly focus on our neglected village parks, expedite the stalled restoration of the Mill, develop a comprehensive plan to address the problem of aging village infrastructure, and lax village code enforcement. In addition, I will coordinate the development of realistic solutions for Main Street traffic.
Our village is important to all of us. It is our home, the place we raise our children, and a place where we make our livelihood. It is my goal to protect it, preserve it, and make our village a model for others.
