Couple mark 50th with dinner

Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Belling

Carol and Bruce Belling of Amherst celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday, June 8, 2007 with a dinner celebration with their children and grandchildren at the home of a daughter.

Bruce Belling married the former Carol White on June 8, 1957 in St. Martin's Lutheran Church, North Tonawanda.

Bruce retired in 1987 after 30 years with Durez Plastics. A Navy veteran of the Korean War, he is a member of the original crew of USS The Sullivans, which is part of Buffalo & Erie County Naval and Servicemen's Park, Buffalo.

He and his wife are members of the USS The Sullivans Association.

Carol is retired from the Williamsville School District, where she was a secretary from 1973 to 1998. She is a member of Williamsville Clerical Retirees.

The couple have four children and six grandchildren.
