Bride carries grandmother's handkerchief

Dana Gugino married Kevin Nelson in an afternoon ceremony on Saturday, April 21, 2007 in St. Paul Church, New Bern, N.C. The Rev. Ernest J. Ruede officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Robin and Anthony Gugino of Williamsville. The groom is the son of Kathy and Col. David Nelson of New Bern.

The bride was escorted by her father.

She wore a strapless white satin gown and carried her grandmother's handkerchief and a bouquet of white roses.

Matron of honor was Adrienne Holifield, a friend of the bride and groom. The bridesmaid was Jennifer Rupp, a friend of the bride.

Anne Morrison Boyd, a friend of the bride, and Megan Whitehead, niece of the groom, were flower girls.

Christopher Whitehead was best man for his brother. Bryan Nelson, the groom's brother, was an usher.

Crawford Boyd, a friend of the bride, and William Whitehead, nephew of the groom, were ring bearers.

After honeymooning in Paris, France, the couple are at home in Charlotte, N.C.
