Samplers - Alicia Ross' series of images of women, downloaded from the Web, removed from their original context and reconfigured through a program that converts pixels into cross-stitch. Using a sewing machine as a drawing instrument, Ross combines a digital and handmade aesthetic. Exhibit opens at 7 p.m. at Hallwalls Contemporary Arts Center, 341 Delaware Ave., Buffalo.
