McGuire Jr. from the UB Department of Classics will give the lecture at 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 20 in Room 215 of the UB Natural Sciences Complex, UB North Campus, Amherst. McGuire will look at modern popular culture and explore some of the ways in which we have recreated the ancient world in general, and more specifically, the world of ancient Rome in contemporary culture.
