Acting up

Get ready to laugh out loud as two one-act comedies are coming to the Ghostlight Theatre for two weekends beginning June 15.

"Any Body For Tea," by C.B. Gifford and directed by Lynn Metzger, finds six sweet old ladies in a boarding house all in love with their bachelor neighbor, the handsome Detective Dennis O'Finn. To lure him into their house, they stage a homicide. To keep the detective around, they must keep doing it.

"Any Body For Tea" features Michael Leszczynski, Julie Senko, Vanessa Stipkovits, Lenore Uhrich and Mollie McDermott.

"A Mad Breakfast," by I.M. Gray and directed by Kathy Ellis Donner, tells the story of two pranksters living in a boarding house who convince an important visitor that the house is really an insane asylum. It features Colleen Neumann, Pat Faulhaber, Tom Turici and Paul McGinnis.

Performances are at 8 p.m. June 15, 16, 22 and 23 at 170 Schenck St., North Tonawanda.

All's Well That Ends Well Shakespeare in Delaware Park's 32nd season of professional outdoor theater begins 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 21 with the comedy with an odd mixture of fairy tale logic and cynical realism. The production stars Robert Rutland, Kate LoConti, Tom Loughlin, Joe Natale and Lisa Ludwig under the direction of Derek Campbell.
