Izzo
Nicole Izzo of Williamsville has been selected as the 2006-07 Outstanding Senior for the College of Music and Dramatic Arts at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. She was also the recipient of the 05-06 Outstanding Junior and 04-05 Outstanding Sophomore Awards. She has a double major in music performance and education.

Julia Atkins an Amherst High School senior has been awarded a Music Performance Fun Scholarship from the Musicians' Association of Buffalo. She plans to study at Potsdam's Crane School of Music. She was first clarinetist in several groups, including Area All-State Band.

Jaclyn Reinhart, of Williamsville and a student at Mount St. Mary's Academy, has been accepted into the Junior Statesman Summer School Program at Yale University. She will study college-level courses at the university and take part in congressional debates where she will meet and question political leaders.

Andrew L. Russo of East Amherst, a senior at St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute, has been selected the recipient of the Class of '31 Outstanding Senior Award for 2007. He has been class president for his junior and senior years. He plans to attend Canisius College to study business.

Atkins
Danielle Arthur of Williamsville has been accepted into Harvard University's Summer Secondary school program. She is a sophomore at Sacred Heart Academy and was chosen based on her high academic standing, community service, PSAT scores and an essay. She will earn college credit in the program.

Cadet Major Elizabeth Anger, a senior at East High School and the TAK Squadron's (Civil Air Patrol) cadet commander, was named the New York Wing Cadet of the Year at the NY Wing Conference. She was also named Cadet of the Year by TAK Squadron and Western New York Group.
