RIT to host basketball camps, tourneys

The Rochester Institute of Technology will hold the 29th annual Bob McVean Basketball Camps this summer, including a shooting day camp and JV and varsity tournaments.

The shooting day camp is open to individuals in grades 4-10 and runs June 25-29.

The five-day camp includes use of an Olympic-size swimming pool. Certified athletic trainers will be on site. Campers can sign up as a team or on an individual basis. The camp will emphasize fundamentals, individual skill development, competitive game situations and personal evaluations.

The camps include a free basketball and T-shirt for each participant, plus awards for foul-shooting champions, one-on-one champions and skills-test winners.

The JV and varsity tournaments will be held July 13-15, offering the players and coaches to benefit from a concentrated tournament setting.
