North Rotary to recognize Mohan

Amherst Supervisor Satish Mohan will be presented with the Vocational Service Award by Amherst North Rotary Club.

"Dr. Mohan truly represents Rotary's motto of Service Above Self," said club member Pravin D. Suchak.

Rotary believes that it is vital to recognize those in the community who demonstrate the ideals of Rotary in their daily work, Suchak said.

The presentation will be made at the club's regular dinner meeting on Tuesday, June 12.

The award recognizes Mohan's professional achievements while maintaining high ethical standards, Suchak said.

As part of the recognition, Mohan also will be installed as a Paul Harris Fellow which is Rotary's highest honor. The club will also award scholarships to two Sweet Home High School seniors.
