O'Loughlin, Musarra endorsed for county races The Executive Committee of the Erie County Republican Committee met Saturday and unanimously endorsed William O'Loughlin for Erie County clerk and Deputy District Attorney Molly Gondek Musarra for Erie County Court judge. O'Loughlin and Musarra join Chris Collins who was endorsed earlier this year as the Republican candidate for Erie County executive. An investment advisor for nearly 40 years, O'Loughlin is currently the resident branch manager of the O'Loughlin Financial Group and Brookstreet Securities in Williamsville. O'Loughlin is a council member in the Town of Amherst. Former Gov. George E. Pataki recently appointed O'Loughlin as a commissioner of the New York State Insurance Fund. He is also the former chairman of the Erie County Industrial Development Agency. Mussara has 20 years experience as a prosecutor and is deputy DA for felony prosecutions in the Erie County District Attorney's Office, a position she has held since 2003. With the office since 1987, she has also successfully tried narcotics, domestic violence and sexual assault cases. This is her first run for public office. She lives in Orchard Park. |
