Parker resigns from DPW

Williamsville Department of Public Works General Crew Chief Michael Parker resigned from his position last week.

Parker joined the Village DPW in December 2003 after serving as senior piping and mechanical designer and project manager at Invensys APV Engineered Systems in Tonawanda and manufacturing engineer and safety coordinator at Invensys Viatran Corporation.

"I will be sorry to see him go. I understand he has an excellent opportunity and I wish him well," said Village Mayor Mary Lowther. "We are instituting a search for a qualified replacement for his position and look forward to continuing excellent service for our residents and businesses."

Parker could not be reached for comment.
