Canisius College recognizes residents The Canisius College Raichle Pre-Law Scholarship has been awarded to two local residents. Ricky Luthra of East Amherst and Jason Zwara of Williamsville received the scholarship named after the late Frank G. Raichle, Canisius College class of 1968. He was a nationally recognized Buffalo trial lawyer and leader of the American Bar Association. The award, of up to $4,000, is given to juniors and seniors who intend to pursue legal careers. Only eight are awarded each year. Luthra is a political science major who will begin his junior year at Canisius in the fall. Zwara is a political science and economics major and will begin his senior year in the fall. Another Amherst resident recognized was Amy Saeva, class of 2007, who was a member of the team of Canisius finance majors and masters of business administration students who gave a presentation outlining the college's Golden Griffin Fund at the Redefining Investment Strategy Education Conference held March 29-31 in Dayton, Ohio. She is a senior finance major. |
