Garnet Schulte of Amherst has been named an assistant account executive for the SKM Group. She earned her bachelor's degree at Niagara University in business with a concentration in marketing. Prior to joining SKM, she completed an internship with Curbell Electronics.
Kenneth R. Kirby of Eggertsville has joined Mattar, D'Agostino & Gottlieb LLP as an associate. He has argued or briefed nearly 100 appeals and has been published numerous times. He successfully represented Mayor Griffin in the public school desegregation case. Mr. Kirby is a member of the New York State Bar Association.
Jane E. Hanny-Hughes of Williamsville has joined Watson, Bennett, Colligan, Johnson & Schechter, LLP as a senior associate in the Matrimonial & Family Law group. She has lectured for both the New York State and Erie County Bar associations. She obtained her law degree from the University at Buffalo School of Law.
Eric B. H. Feldstein of Williamsville has been promoted to administrative vice president at M&T Bank. As manager of Commercial Planning and Analysis, he is responsible for M&T's commercial segments and specialty lines of business, including all business line Marketing and Economic Research.

Raymond Spasiano, owner of Raymond Spasiano Insurance Agency in East Amherst, has been recognized by Allstate Insurance Company for high standards in customer satisfaction, customer retention and profitability. As a result, the agency has been invited to attend Allstate's national conference, where it will be recognized by the top officers of the company.
Gwen O. Arcara has been elected an officer of the AAA Western and Central New York's board of directors for 2007. She is the president and principal of Executive Dimensions Inc. headquartered in Williamsville.
John G. Berger, Jr. of Williamsville was recently elected secretary-treasurer of the board of directors for the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of New York. During his term, he will oversee the group's funds and report to its Executive Committee.

Emil K. Everett an Amherst native, has been ranked Dale Carnegie's top instructor in New York City and in the top 100 of 2,700 instructors worldwide. He has been facilitating the professional programs for the past 10 years and has worked with Dale Carnegie of WNY. He is president and owner of New Amsterdam, LLC.
Mark C. Massaro, a senior financial advisor with Ameriprise Financial in Williamsville, has been inducted into the company's "Diamond Ring" club. To be awarded this designation, he had to be in the top echelon of the company's field force in the area of above-average sales or high level of leadership.
David M. Gelia, executive vice president of United Insurance Agency Inc. in Amherst, was recently elected as regional director of the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of New York Inc. He will represent the not-for-profit trade association's members in the West-Central Region. He a past president of the IIAAWNY.

Tim Anderson of East Amherst was recently recognized by the McGuire Group, which owns Autumn View Health Care Facility in Hamburg, for his five-year employment anniversary with the company. As the director of physical therapy, he coordinates the delivery of physical therapy services for patients.
Joseph Zdarsky of Williamsville has been named chairman of the Sisters Hospital Foundation for the 2007-2008 term. He is a partner at Zdarsky, Sawicki & Agostinelli. He has served as a board member since 2003, and is active in many professional, civic and charitable organizations.
