Meetings a civil rights forum The office of State Attorney General Andrew M. Cuomo has selected Buffalo as the first city to open a series of statewide forums on civil rights. The lawyers of the Office of the Attorney General will host the event from 6-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 12 at Erie Community College City Campus, Minnie Gillette Auditorium, 121 Ellicott St. Jenny Rivera, special deputy state attorney general for Civil Rights; Dianne Dixon, Civil Rights Bureau chief; and Martha Ngwashi, Intergovernmental Affairs Department, Buffalo Office, will speak on the topic. The workshop will address key components that drive employer costs as well as methods for an employer to oversee a carrier's performance. Additionally, the recent New York Workers' Compensation Reform Bill will be discussed. The workshop is free and includes a continental breakfast.
