North boys, Amherst girls win team titles

For the fourth straight year, Williamsville North has the best outdoor boys track team in the Town of Amherst.
The Spartans edged Amherst, 139-127, at the Town of Amherst Championships held on Monday, May 21 at Amherst High School. Williamsville East (108), Sweet Home (92), and Williamsville South (25) rounded out the team scoring.
In the girls' competition, Amherst broke Williamsville South's three-year stranglehold on the team title, winning with 140.5 points. South finished fourth with 70.5 points. North placed second (130), Sweet Home was third (91) and East came in fifth (56).
