Eldercare to host lecture

Michael Burgess, the newly appointed director of the New York State Office for the Aging, will speak at a luncheon meeting to representatives from organizations providing services to older adults and their caregivers from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday, June 7 at the Amherst Center for Senior Services, 370 John James Audubon Parkway, Amherst.

Burgess oversees the administration of federal and state-funded programs designed to assist the more than 3.2 million elderly residents in the state, as well as programs that assist family members and others involved with helping elderly residents who need greater levels of assistance.

Tickets are $5 per person and include a deli-luncheon. Pre-registration is required by Monday, June 4.
