Couple marry in Botanical Gardens

Kimberly Ann Petko married Daniel Martin Pierce on Friday, May 25, 2007 at the Buffalo & Erie County Botanical Gardens. The Rev. Rocky Munson officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Donald Petko Sr. of Buffalo and the late Lorraine Petko. The groom is the son of Diane and Donald Pierce of Orchard Park.

May 25, 2007 would have been the 50th wedding anniversary of the bride's parents.

The bride was escorted by her father.

Her diamond white satin gown had a cathedral train and was embellished with embroidery and Swarovski crystals. She wore a fingertip veil and carried a cascading bouquet of roses and calla lilies.

Kathleen Ransbury, the bride's sister, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Ashlee Ransbury, the bride's niece; Dawn Hammond, sister of the groom; and Danielle Pierce, daughter of the groom.

Karli Wilcox, grand niece of the bride, was flower girl.

Brian Hammond, brother in-law of the groom, was best man. Ushers were Donald Petko Jr. and Keith Petko, the bride's brothers, and Nicholas Ransbury, the bride's nephew.

A reception was held at the Hearthstone Manor.

The couple are honeymooning in Negril, Jamaica, West Indies.
