Genevieve E. Baran and Wayne P. Slingluff

Elizabeth and John Baran of Tonawanda announce the engagement of their daughter, Genevieve Elizabeth Baran, to Wayne Philip Slingluff, son of Joan and Wayne Slingluff of Huntington, Long Island.

Miss Baran graduated from Sweet Home High School in 2003. She received a bachelor's degree in English from Geneseo State College in 2007. A barista at Starbucks, she plans to study veterinary technology at Medaille College this fall.

Her fiance graduated from Huntington High School in 2003. He received a bachelor's degree in computer science from Geneseo State College in 2007. He is a computer program developer with Paychecks in Rochester.

A May 2008 wedding is planned.
