Zachary Poelma and Melanie Jimenez

Maria Jimenez of Miami, Fla., announces the engagement of her daughter, Melanie Jimenez, to Zachary Poelma, son of Debbie and Linwood Poelma of East Amherst.

Miss Jimenez graduated from Braddock High School in Miami in 2001. She received a bachelor's degree cum laude in finance and marketing from the University of Miami in 2005. She is a baby care financial analyst with Procter & Gamble in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Her fiance graduated from Clarence High School in 1999. He received a bachelor's degree with distinction in economics from the U.S. Naval Academy, Annapolis, Md., in 2003. He is a Pepto-Bismol financial analyst with Procter & Gamble.

A September 2007 wedding is planned in Trinity Episcopal Church, Miami, with a reception at the Doubletree Grand on Biscayne Bay.
