Irene E. Busmalis and Adam C. Temple

Maria and Ulysses Busmalis of Amherst announce the engagement of their daughter, Irene Elizabeth Busmalis, to Adam C. Temple, son of Dr. Patricia Temple Gabbe of Nashville, Tenn., and Dr. Gary Temple of Washington, D.C.

Miss Busmalis is a 1988 graduate of Sweet Home High School. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in classics/mathematics from Hamilton College in 1992. She received a master's degree in business administration from Columbia University in 2002.

A vice president at JP Morgan in New York City for 13 years, Miss Busmalis is now project manager at First Community Bank in central Oregon.

Her fiance received a Bachelor of Science degree in international studies from Ohio State University in 1993. He served in the Peace Corps in Niger, Brazil and Israel in the 1990s and is now a farmer in Twickenham, Ore., where the couple reside.

An August 2007 wedding is planned at the home of Temple's aunt and uncle in Twickenham.
