'My Favorite Things'

The Lancaster Opera House will be alive with "The Sound of Music" from June 1-17.

Maria leaves an Austrian convent to become governess to a widowed naval officer, Captain Von Trapp, and his children.

Produced by the Lancaster Opera House and directed by Thomas T. Kazmierczak III, the production features Katie Miner as Maria and Gary Sage as Captain Von Trapp (pictured), Deborah Jasinski as Mother Abbess, Michelle Holden as The Baroness, Vince Martino as Max, Michael O'Neill as Rolf, and others.

Performances are 7:30 p.m. June 1, 2, 7, 8, 9, 14, 15 and 16; 2:30 p.m. June 3, 10 and 17; and 2 p.m. June 2 at 21 Central Ave., Lancaster.
