Free screenings to be held around Western New York In the coming weeks the Western New York area will host several free medical screenings. If you are older than 50 and your legs hurt while you walk, and you experience numbness and tingling when you rest, this may be a warning sign for vascular disease throughout the body. Vascular International Associates is offering a free peripheral arterial disease screening at Buffalo General Hospital, 100 High St., Buffalo, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, May 30. Appointments are required and space is limited. For more information, call 859-2138. Dr. Julio Alvarez, Dr. Daniel Patterson and Dr. Jeffrey Steinig of Southtowns Surgical Associates will host two free varicose vein screenings. The first screening will take place from 3 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday June 5 at the Sterling Medical Park, 310 Sterling Drive, Suite 105 in Orchard Park. A free screening will also take place from 3 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 7 at 100 Youngs Road, Suite 105 in Williamsville. For more information or to register for the screenings, call 675-7730. |
