Macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy seminar 2007 planned

Retina Consultants of Western New York, specialists in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the retina and vitreous of the eye, is hosting a free macular degeneration seminar.

The seminar will take place from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 9 at the Summit Health and Wellness Complex in the Fitness Center, 6930 Williams Road.

The 2007 seminar will discuss topics on age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and other vitreoretinal diseases.

Presentations will be made by Drs. Faruk M. Koreishi, Paul J. Lee and Mehdi Khan.

"We'll provide a wealth of information about living with macular degeneration and diabetes," said Koreishi. "Information will also be provided on current methods of treatment and what's new on the horizon."
