International Institute honors Mohan

The International Institute of Buffalo will honor Amherst Supervisor Satish Mohan at Embracing the World: Destination India on Friday, June 8 at Tandoori's Restaurant, 7740 Transit Road, Williamsville.

The celebration will feature the presentation of the 2007 Global Citizen award to Mohan. Also included is Indian cuisine and entertainment, a silent auction, and a raffle drawing for two round-trip tickets to India.

University at Buffalo Provost Satish Tripathi will give the keynote address, and Indian Consul General Neelam Deo and AirSep CEO Ravi Bansal also will speak.

Proceeds will benefit the International Institute's programs to assist immigrants and refugees and promote global education and understanding.

Tickets are $125 per person. Raffle tickets for the trip to India are $50 each - 160 raffle tickets will be sold. The second-place raffle winner will receive free round-trip airfare to any AirTran destination in the United States.
