Grace and Paul Bonaccorso of East Amherst announce the engagement of their daughter, Cristina Bonaccorso, to Rafael Cavalcanti, son of Rosalia and Francisco Cavalcanti of Williamsville.

Miss Bonaccorso graduated from Williamsville East High School in 2001. She is operations manager for Petco Animal Supplies.

Her fiance is a 2002 graduate of Fairport High School. He received a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry from the University at Buffalo in 2006. In the fall, he will begin studies in orthopedic surgery at the Temple University School of Medicine.

A 2008 wedding is planned in Recife, Brazil.
