Research aimed to help arthritis sufferers

Buffalo Cardiology and Pulmonary Associates, P.C. is taking part in an international research project in hopes of finding new ways to reduce pain from arthritis.

Partnering with the Cleveland Clinic, Buffalo Cardiology and Pulmonary Associates is recruiting participants for what it calls The Precision Study. A total of 20,000 arthritis patients who either have, or are at risk for, heart disease are needed.

Buffalo Cardiology and Pulmonary Associates is one of 1,000 sites in 15 countries contributing to the study.

The Precision Study will measure the long-term cardiovascular safety of three approved pain medications. Through this research, doctors will have the information they need to choose the most appropriate pain reliever for individuals with arthritis who have, or are at risk for, cardiovascular problems.
