Meetings workshop for union officials The U.S. Department of Labor's Office of Labor Management Standards will sponsor a one-day workshop from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, June 1 at the Niagara Center, 130 Elmwood Ave., Buffalo. The program is designed to help union officials in Western New York meet their record-keeping and reporting requirements. The Labor Management Reporting and Disclosure Act establishes certain rights for union members and contains provisions to ensure union democracy and financial integrity. These include requirements for unions to maintain records used to prepare their annual reports filed with the government and requirements and procedures for filling those reports. BNI to host training at Millennium Hotel Business Network International of New York will host seminar event coordinator training from 3:45 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 1 at the Millennium Airport Hotel, 2040 Walden Ave., Cheektowaga. UB holds graduate diversity visit The University at Buffalo will hold a Graduate School Diversity Visit at 9 a.m. Friday, June 22 at the school's Center for the Arts located on the North Campus. The event is designed to measurably enhance the inclusiveness and diversity of the graduate programs at the College. Students will be escorted by representatives from the department or school of their choice to view and tour the campus and to obtain detailed information regarding their graduate programs of interest.
