Woman in need of bathroom tries to get into home

Friday, May 11
+ On Sheridan Drive three men were reported for smoking something out of a device that came out of what looked like a briefcase. Police reported they were smoking cigarettes.
+ An Old Meadow resident had firecrackers thrown on the back porch.
+ On Smith Road someone threw golf course sand, lawn rakes and green flags onto the roadway. The items were removed.
+ A Quail Hollow Lane resident reported that a female was at the front door, ringing the bell and trying to open the door. When the complainant answered the door, the woman said she needed to use the restroom. She left on foot.
+ Three males were reportedly taking Sabres' logos off cars parked at Wal-Mart on Niagara Falls Boulevard.
Saturday, May 12
+ A Walton Drive resident was very annoyed by a group of teens who kept ringing the doorbell and running away. The party was located and advised.
+ On Chestnut Hill Lane someone complained that two males were there with a charcoal grill and appeared to be tailgating. Police determined they lived down the street, and the street did not have any no parking/ grilling signs.
+ An accident was reported on Getzville Road involving a vehicle and an old toilet seat that had been sitting on a curb.
+ A Berkley Road resident complained that a group of youths threw oranges all over the front yard.
Sunday, May 13
+ Police were called to Moon Chinese Buffet on Sheridan Drive about a customer disputing payment for dinner because the waiter spilled a beverage on her.
+ A Grover Cleveland Highway man complained his wife took his wallet and wouldn't give it back. The wallet was returned to him.
+ On Craigmore Drive the Porta Johns and bleachers were flipped over sometime during the night.
+ A manager for a Niagara Falls Boulevard store reported that two males broke into a shed, stole four kegs of beer and then left in a green Dodge Caravan.
Monday, May 14
+ A Sunshine Drive resident complained that five youths were jumping on a parked car and trying to break branches off a tree.
+ An employee at University Medical Bookstore on Main Street reported a woman was trying to sell back books that were stolen. The clerk reported there had been previous problems with the suspect, who was advised not to return.
+ A "chair fire" was reported on Flickinger Court. Reportedly a bag of peat moss on a plastic chair caught fire, causing minor damage to a building by melting sections of the siding.
+ Police were called to a Maple Road location about a milk carton that was filled with used cat litter and put in a doorway. The carton was placed in a bag and thrown in the Dumpster.
Tuesday, May 15
+ A complainant reported that a group of youths was reportedly talking about a dead body in the alley behind the apartments on Princeton Avenue. Three of the teens left on bikes to go look at the body.
+ A balding white male was reportedly going door to door on Westchester Road selling leftover fish products.
+ At a Main Street grocery store a female customer injured her knee when the items a vendor was putting on the shelf fell and she went to catch them.
Wednesday, May 16
+ The employee of a Maple Road store said that while he was in a back cooler getting beer for a customer, a wallet was taken from behind the counter and the customer was gone. The wallet had been left by a customer earlier in the day. The wallet was reportedly returned to the owner.
+ At a Niagara Falls Boulevard store two black males reportedly took six cases of candy and drove off in a red Dodge Durango. A seventh box of candy was later found missing.
+ On Northledge Drive two standard-size garbage cans were stolen during the night and the trash was left behind.
+ A Fairways Boulevard resident complained about a cat that had been in the garage for the past two days.
Thursday, May 17
+ On Bucyrus Drive a lawnmower and gas can had been taken from the front lawn within 30 minutes of the report. The suspect may have been in a pickup truck.
+ A town resident was called about winning money but was told she first needed a check for $1,000. When she went to the bank, an employee told her to call the police about fraud.
+ Criminal mischief was reported at the Sweet Home School District. Damage was reported to the buses during the night. A report for tampering was filed.
+ Amherst police were called to assist at Prior Aviation on Wehrle Drive for the Sabres' arrival.
