Buffalo In-Line Hockey Group The game of the day on Saturday, May 12 in Buffalo In-line Hockey Group was a junior division contest between the Heat and Black Hawks. Down 3-0 at the end of the first period and 5-3 at the end of the second the Heat rallied with a goal from Tommy Adolf (Amherst) to tie the game with a minute left in regulation. Alex Spatzer (Amherst) and Adolf each scored in the shootout to offset Christian Curtola's (Amherst) fifth of the game to give the Heat a 9-8 victory. In other action: Junior Division Gray Ghosts 8, Good Fellas 5 The Fellas fell to the Ghosts with Zac Carlisle (Tonawanda) continuing his push for league MVP with a double hat trick and an enormous rink presence. Evan Dressel (Amherst) did all he could with a hat trick but it wasn't enough. Raiders 9, Blades 4 Nick Antoniadas (Amherst), Jim Krolikowski (Amherst), Austin O'Donnell (Amherst) and Jacob Srauss each scored twice to pace the winners. Dave Millbrand (Tonawanda) played very well for the Blades. Major Division Aces 9, Blues 8 Calvin Waley (Cheektowaga) scored five goals and David Campuzano (Grand Island) had a goal and four assists to lead the Aces. Chad Laughran (Amherst) scored five times in the loss. Mean Machine 15, Flyers 6 Major division leading scorer Roy Wasiewicz (Cheektowaga), Brett Jablonski (Cheektowaga) and Agif Hashim (Amherst) each had four goals for the Machine in this offensive romp. Josh Grant (Kenmore) had five goals for the Flyers. Berets 5, Sabres 4 John Lyons (Amherst) scored a late goal and third of the game to give the Berets the win. Jesse VanDyne (Kenmore) was a defensive stalwart for the winners. Luke and Zac Pronti (Pendleton) played strong for the Sabres. Raiders 13, Bandits 0 Brett Davidson (Lancaster) posted the shutout for the division leaders. Joe Wolfe (Tonawanda), Conner Stephen (Amherst) and Kyle King (Tonawanda) and the entire Raider squad played an outstanding position and defensive game.
