Rotary Club of Amherst North continued its tree planting tradition this Arbor Day. The club started the its tree planting project in 1990-91 to support Rotary's Preserve Planet Earth program. The club plants one tree at each of the six schools in the Sweet Home School District on National Arbor Day.

The Knights of Equity's local chapter, Daughters of Erin, recently attended a convention at the Doubletree Hotel Cleveland South. Attending was Worthy Supreme Vice Sir Knight Richard Bruning and National Publicity Chairwoman Patricia Lynch, both of Amherst.
