Daddario earns bronze at states

Jill Daddario of Amherst placed third in all-around competition at the Level 7 New York State girls gymnastics championship held in Orangeburg, N.Y.
The Niagara Gymnastics team from Gleason's School of Gymnastics in Wheatfield had a great showing at the Level 7 New York State girls gymnastics championship held at Galaxy Gymnastics in Orangeburg, N.Y.

Jill Daddario of Amherst placed third in all-around with a score of 37.25. Daddario received the bronze medal competing against 42 girls all age 12. She received a silver medal for balance beam (9.55) and another silver for floor exercise (9.5). She scored 9.325 on vault and 8.875 on uneven bars. She is a sixth grader at Sweet Home Middle School.

Teammates Brittany Wurl from North Tonawanda and Allison Franz from Tonawanda competed in the age 11 group. Wurl placed sixth all-around with a score of 36.7. She took sixth on beam (9.4) and eighth on bars (9.05). Franz took third on vault (9.4) and fifth on beam (9.375). She just missed out on placing in the all-around with a high score of 36.3.

For age 13, Bailey Akin from Niagara Falls had a high score on floor with 9.275. Competing with the 15-year olds was Miranda Danielewicz from Cambria who took second on bars with 9.25. She scored 9.3 on vault.
