RECOGNITION
Michael Altieri of Amherst receives a medal in recognition of past military service during a "In the Company of Heroes" ceremony held April 29 at VFW Post 7545 in the City of Tonawanda. Commendations were presented to veterans of World War II, Korea, Vietnam, the Gulf War and Iraq by the State of New York in recognition of bravery and service to the United States.
