.In response to the reader about the town contract, does it also include extended breaks, hour lunches and shopping for personal use? And don't forget, you're driving a town vehicle while doing all this.

.I just read about someone complaining about a homeless man around the Main Street/Youngmann Highway area. Does the guy really cause a problem? Why don't you actually go up and talk to him? He's a very knowledgeable gentleman, a very nice guy, and he doesn't bother anyone.

.As a registered Republican from Amherst, I'm insulted that my Republican Committee is honoring Satish Mohan with the Lincoln Leadership Award.

.Amherst Supervisor Satish Mohan should stop complaining about the slow pace of government and the inability of town government to fix the flooding problems in Amherst. Mohan needs to begin to realize that it is his responsibility to fix the flooding problems and stop complaining. He's not running for office; he actually is the government now.

.It's rather interesting that we at home can see clearly a hockey puck go in the net on replay, yet the review officials indicate it's not conclusive. The indication has been we need new cameras. I disagree. The league could save a ton of money by having the officials' eyes examined.
