+ Applications are now being accepted for the 10th annual Parkside Garden Tour, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 24. Gardens must be in the Parkside neighborhood. Entries must be received by June 8. E-mail mrscichon@aol.com to receive an application, or call 838-1240.

+ Shakespearience 2007 is open to area high school students. The program is designed to provide an in-depth theatre experience while working with theatre professionals. Each session runs five weeks, beginning the week prior to regularly scheduled performances. Session I is "All's Well That Ends Well," June 16-July 15, and Session II is "Othello," July 21-Aug. 19. Applicants can attend an enrollment interview from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 19, at Buffalo Seminary, Bidwell Parkway, Buffalo. Applicants must call 856-4533 for an interview appointment. No interviews will be conducted on a walk-in basis.
