Kadimah School holds raffle for collectors' items

A collection of rare and discontinued, mint-condition Webkinz will be available this month at the Kadimah School of Buffalo.

The "Wonderful Webkinz Raffle" includes: the Cheeky Cat, St. Bernard, Basset Hound, Love Puppy, Sherbet Bunny, Black Lab, Black Bear Tree Frog, Unicorn, Hippo, Cheeky Monkey and Pegasus, valued in total on Amazon.com at more than $2,000.

The collection of Webkinz plush pets made by Ganz was acquired by Aviva Geist, grandmother of Kadimah students Jered and Benjamin Geist.

She has known the owners of the Ganz Company for many years, and Kadimah School is extremely appreciative of the donation for the fundraiser, said Jill Mazzola, director of admissions.

Five hundred tickets will be sold. Tickets are $10 each or three for $25 and are available at Kadimah School, 1085 Eggert Road near Main Street, Amherst. The drawing will be held on June 1.
