Business News Vein Treatment Center Executive Vice President Karen Karamanoukian and Dr. Hratch Karamanoukian, president of the center, recently took several children to a Sabres game at the HSBC Arena. Also taking part in the event were Gustavus Adolphus Family Services Therapeutic Family Foster Care Program, state Supreme Court Justice Frank Caruso, and former Sabres players Gilbert Perreault and Rene Robert. Stand Advertising in Amherst recognized Arbor Day, April 27, by delivering saplings to clients and friends of the agency to replace trees lost in the October storm. A total of 79 trees, purchased from the National Arbor Day Foundation, will be planted at businesses across Western New York. Morton H. Wittlin of Williamsville was named an Outstanding Accountant in Western New York at the 51st annual Canisius College Accounting Society banquet. A 1966 alumnus of Canisius, he is a senior partner at Wittlin Cain and Dry LLP. He is also a member of the Canisius College Council of Accountancy, and its Student Financial Aid Committee. Fitzgerald Eilmiller Walsh Agency, 1233 Eggert Road, Amherst, has been named an Elite Agency with Travelers, a member of St. Paul Travelers. The agency is an independent insurance agency. The Elite Agency program recognizes agencies that consistently outperform competitors. Mark C. Massaro, a senior financial adviser with Ameriprise Financial in Williamsville, qualified for the 2006 Circle of Success program. To earn this title, he had to establish himself in the upper echelon of the company's top producers. Advisers earn this recognition by meeting stringent criteria in financial planning performance and client service. The Western New York Chapter of the New York State Restaurant Association is holding a raffle to support its education foundation. The grand prize is a 50-inch Pioneer high-definition plasma television. A total of 500 tickets, at $10 apiece, will be sold. The drawing will be held on Tuesday, June 12 at the chapter's annual golf outing and dinner at Joseph's Country Manor. The winner does not need to be present.
