Williamsville East splits games Williamsville East went 1-1 in girls lacrosse action last week, losing 8-6 to East Aurora on Tuesday, April 24 and defeating Iroquois, 12-9, on Thursday, April 26. East was ahead 5-4 at halftime against East Aurora but was unable to maintain the lead. Scoring for East were Sarah DiPofi, Erika Flashner, Brittni Hargis, Lauren Latona, Emily Williams, and Emily Dehlinger. East co-coach Kristen Zbrzezny said DiPoficompletely shut down East Aurora's strongest player and leading scorer, Samantha Stanly, who took a card and ended up sitting most of the second half. Contributing on offense for East were Hargis (six goals, three assists), Williams (three goals, two assist), Dehlinger (two goals, two assists), Latona (goal), Alina Swierski two assists) and Lauren Hall (assist).
