Penberthy, Nash, Aronica, DeCicco place at Spring Graffiti

Gleason's School of Gymnastics recently participated in the Spring Graffiti meet held at the Amherst Pepsi Center.

In the age 12 division, Level 6 member Lydia Penberthy scored 9.05 on vault for sixth place and had the same score on balance beam for ninth. She took 19th all-around with a score of 34.80. Penberthy attends Sweet Home Middle School.

The Level 5 team tied the Orchard Park Gymsters in total team score. In age 10, Madison Nash, an Amherst resident and a fourth grader at Heim Elementary School, placed tenth.

For the Level 4 team, age 11, Meghan Aronica, a fifth grader at Willow Ridge Elementary, scored 9.15 on bars and vault. She placed fourth on bars. Aronica also scored 9.05 on beam for seventh and 8.65 on floor exercise for tenth. Her efforts earned her eighth place all-around with a score of 35.70.

St. Christopher's second grader Abby DeCicco competed in the 6-8 year-old division. Her high score of the day was a personal-best 9.35 on vault. She placed second on bars (9.2), fifth on beam (8.9) and ninth on floor (8.80). Her all-around score of 36.250 was good for sixth place.
