Roommates find faster way to get furniture downstairs

Friday, April 20
+ A suspicious vehicle was reported on Rensch Road. It had been in a parking lot for almost an hour with a door open, and no one was around. The owner had carpooled with a friend to a concert, leaving his car in the lot. The door was shut.
+ On North Brier Road, 12 youths were reportedly drinking in a backyard. A teenage boy was unconscious on the ground. Emergency responders assisted the male who was passed out.
+ A Larkspur Lane resident complained that a neighbor threw trash into the complainant's pond. All parties were advised.
+ A check was requested on a woman who had a child approximately 4 years old on her lap while she was driving on East Robinson Road. The complainant said it appeared that the child was steering the wheel.
Saturday, April 21
+ On Sweet Home Road, a duck was reportedly in the middle of the road and not moving for traffic. It was gone when police arrived.
+ A Berryman Drive resident complained that a neighbor had parties with loud music every night. Police advised a group of people who were in an outdoor hot tub.
+ Damage was reported at a Sheridan Drive business, caused by someone who hung a jacket on a sprinkler head, causing it to activate and flood a room. Damage was estimated at $20,000.
+ A suspicious white male in his 40s, wearing a long leather trench coat and vampire attire, was reported walking from one end of the Boulevard Mall to other, not going into any stores.
Sunday, April 22
+ Police responded to Sheridan Drive for a report of shots being fired. The reported "popping" sound was caused by wood in a fire.
+ A Frankhauser Road resident reported finding an unusual object while cutting his lawn - a light bulb attached to a piece of hose.
+ Someone reported that a group of people were taking naked photos of each other behind a building on Main Street. Police responded and found a photographer taking photos of models; none was naked.
+ Reckless operation of a vehicle was reported in a parking lot on Transit Road involving someone driving a small car, hitting grocery carts and speeding through the lot. The person might have been intoxicated.
Monday, April 23
+ A Palmdale Drive resident complained that his car was damaged while youths were playing hockey in the lot.
+ Police were called to Dalewood Drive, where a man's hand was stuck between a bookcase and the staircase and was turning black. Besides moving furniture, no further assistance was needed.
+ A 45-year-old man was reportedly pushing an empty wheelchair and dancing around in front of a store on Main Street. The person in question was gone when police arrived.
Tuesday, April 24
+ Police were called about two females riding electric scooters without helmets on Marine Drive.
+ Property was found in an attic of a Main Street building by someone who was doing maintenance work. The identification in a wallet was for a woman born in 1949.
+ Arson was reported on Hopkins Road, involving playground equipment.
+ Police responded to Wal-Mart on Niagara Falls Boulevard where five men appeared to be asleep in a vehicle. They were University at Buffalo students returning from a road trip who fell asleep in the parking lot.
Wednesday, April 25
+ Three teenage boys reportedly entered a vacant home on Walton Drive and were throwing things outside onto the lawn and roof. One of the boys was carrying a toy gun.
+ A Niagara Falls Boulevard gas station employee reported that the driver of a pick-up truck, pulling a trailer, drove off without paying for $105 in gasoline.
+ On Main Street, in the woods near a plaza, someone reported a homeless person had constructed a house with garbage cans and bottles around it.
Thursday, April 26
+ A group of three males were throwing furniture off a balcony of a North Forest Road apartment, smashing it onto the sidewalk and then carrying the pieces to a Dumpster. Reportedly a woman walking by was nearly hit by a piece.
+ On Hazelwood Drive a person was struck by a school bus door and suffered a shoulder injury. Reportedly the doors had been open and the person walked into them.
+ A woman was reported for speeding on Main Street while putting on makeup.
