Benefit for DeSabio planned

A benefit for Maureen Blake DeSabio, director of volunteers at the Amherst Center for Senior Services, who was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's disease last year, will be held from 12:30 to 4:20 p.m. Sunday, May 6 at Club Infinity, 8166 Main St., just east of Transit Road.

Proceeds from the event will go to DeSabio to aid in her battle against the disease. The Amherst Town Board has declared May 6, 2007 as Maureen Blake DeSabio Day.

The event will feature a luncheon buffet, a Chinese auction, a cash bar and live music including Esclef, Taylor Made Jazz, Harvey and the Hurricanes, and more.

Tickets are $25 for general admission and $20 for seniors and may be purchased at the door. Children are admitted free of charge. Tickets may be purchased by check made payable to Maureen DeSabio in care of HSBC Bank, 2635 Main St., Snyder, NY 14226.
