The Williamsville School Board will hold a public hearing on the 2007-08 budget at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 3 in the district office boardroom, 105 Casey Road.

Members of the public will have an opportunity to share their views on the budget following a brief presentation by Superintendent Howard Smith.

Following the hearing, the Williamsville Parent-Teacher-Student Association Council will sponsor a School Board Candidates' night at 7:30 p.m.

There are four candidates running for three positions on the board. Voters will have a chance to ask questions of incumbents Carolyn Giambra and Ramona Popowich and newcomers Carrie Kahn and Dawn Cerra.

Dr. Khalid Qazi has decided not to run for re-election after serving seven years on the board.

In addition to the board election, residents will vote on the budget and three special propositions from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, May 15 at Williamsville North High School, 1595 Hopkins Road.
