'Meet the Candidates Night' planned for Amherst Central

The Amherst Middle School and High School Parent Teacher Student Associations will host a forum to give the community an opportunity to become familiar with the opinions and positions on educational matters of the candidates for School Board.

"Meet the Candidates Night" will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, May 7 at Amherst Middle School, 55 Kings Highway, Room 122. Questions will be solicited from the audience upon arrival and written on index cards.

The format will be:

+ A short biographical introduction of each candidate read by the moderator.

+ A three-minute opening statement from each candidate.

+ Questions will be asked on a rotating basis with a response time of one and one-half minutes. Some questions may be addressed to a specific candidate.

+ A two-minute closing statement by each candidate.
