REFORESTATION
- Bob Anderson, left, Amherst highway superintendent, joins Dave Paradowski of the State Department of Environmental Conservation at the site of a tree planting Friday on Bentham Parkway in honor of Arbor Day. With them are Lynn Cronin, Home Depot Lockport manager, and Rob Bertone, Home Depot district manager. Amherst was named a Tree City USA for 2006 by the National Arbor Day Foundation for its effective community forestry program. Home Depot donated trees for 25 sites in Amherst that were severely affected by the October 2006 storm.
