Live from Buffalo, it's "Today in Buffalo," presented by the Friends of Harmony Chorus on May 4 and 5 at two locations.
"Today in Buffalo" revolves around a local television station and its program that features male show host Lance. He is soon joined by a female co-host named Bailey, who becomes a rival for an opening news anchor job.
Over the years, while Lance was the sole host, they often had the local male barbershop chorus as guest performers. With Bailey there, she protests the exclusion of ladies of song, which leads to the appearance of the talented female barbershop quartet Sitcom.
The "Today in Buffalo" characters are rounded out by a wacky weatherman, a sorry sportscaster and strange interviews with strange guests. The Fall Guys quartet and Al, the singing cop, contribute some great "ear candy."
Performances are at 8 p.m. Friday, May 4 at East Aurora High School, 1003 Center St., and 8 p.m. Saturday, May 5 at Sweet Home High School, 1901 Sweet Home Road, Amherst.
Presale tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and students and are available by calling 662-5192. Tickets at the door are $15 for adults and $12 for seniors and students.
